The Netherlands has provided a range of support for Katrina recovery, including (but not limited to):
- Three water pumps to help drain flooded areas, with personnel to operate them
- Water control experts to help inspect New Orleans' levees
- A Navy frigate and approximately 200 crew, including medical personnel and rescue crews, is in Biloxi. The Dutch are working in cooperation with personnel of the USS Bataan and Mexico's ARM Papaloapan to deliver food and water to hurricane victims, provide security, and conduct recovery operations. Helicopter crews from the HNLMS Van Amstel have conducted a number of flights in support of these operations.
